Description
The HI98190 includes an HI12963 titanium body amplified pH electrode for pH measurement together with a built-in temperature sensor to enable automatic temperature compensation of readings. The titanium probe body is essentially indestructible and chemically resistant to strong substances. The innovative Quick Connect DIN connector, which was created specifically for the HI12963 pH/temperature electrode, offers a straightforward waterproof connection without any threads.
The exclusive CAL CheckTM feature from Hanna warns the user of potential issues that can arise when calibrating. The meter will notify the user with display prompts when the probe needs to be cleaned or is broken and if the pH buffer may be contaminated by comparing past calibration data to the present calibration. Following calibration, a percentage from 0 to 100% in 10% increments representing the overall probe condition is shown. The probe condition, which is shown on the measurement screen on the calibration day and in the GLP data, is influenced by the pH electrode’s offset and slope parameters. With seven preprogrammed standard pH buffers and five bespoke pH buffers, calibration can be done up to five times, yielding a pH accuracy of 0.002 and 0.001 pH resolution.
The meter will freeze at a stable reading when the “AutoHold” virtual key is pressed, which can be found in measurement mode. This allows the reading to be recorded or logged. When a reading is outside the range of calibrated pH values, a “out of calibration range” warning that notifies the user will be enabled.
The user can record and save up to 200 samples using the log-on-demand mode (100 for pH and 100 for mV). With Hanna’s HI920015 micro USB cable and HI92000 software, this data may then be transmitted to a PC together with the related GLP data.
With the usage of the backlight, the high contrast graphic LCD is simple to read both indoors and out in direct sunshine as well as in less lit settings. Easy, intuitive operation in a variety of languages is made possible by a combination of dedicated and virtual keys.
All the equipment required to do a field measurement, including the meter and electrode, beakers, buffer solutions, cleaning solutions, and storage solutions, is thermoformed into a small, tough carrying case.
On-Screen Features
Setup window
A wide range of programmable choices, including time, date, temperature units, and language for help displays and instructions, are available on our comprehensive setup screen.
Calibration
pH calibration comes with comprehensive CAL CheckTM messages. On-screen instructions that walk users through each stage of the calibration process.
