Capabilities of the VPE Ultrasonic Leak Detector

Capable of detecting a 5 psi leak from a 0.005″ (5/1000 inch) hole from a distance of 20 to 30 feet depending on background noise.
Detects any gas that emits ultrasonic sound during flow, including vacuum leaks, with ease.
Capable of detecting leaks of up to 1.5 oz of refrigerant per year.
It works equally well with compressed air as it does with nitrogen.
Wind and high concentrations of leaking gas or refrigerant have no effect.

VPE Ultrasonic Leak Detector Specifications

Natural sound conversion from 0 Hz to 4 kHz allows you to hear the leak and distinguish it from mechanical or other background ultrasound.
Visual Output: A ten-element bar graph gives a quick and intuitive visual indication of the presence and relative strength of ultrasound.
Adjustable Sensitivity: This feature enables the operator to quickly identify leaks from a distance and then zero in on the exact location of the leak.
