Hanna Instrument HI70300L Electrode Storage Solution (500 mL)
HI70300L is a reagent-grade storage solution that can be used to ensure the best performance of your pH and ORP electrodes. A pH electrode must be stored in a solution to keep the glass membrane of the pH electrode hydrated. A storage solution is preferable; never store an electrode in distilled or deionized water. The Hanna Instruments storage solution is specifically designed to minimize microbial growth and to prevent diffusion/osmotic effects from storing a probe in a solution containing the highly concentrated inner reference electrolyte. Keep the junction clear by storing your pH and/or ORP electrodes in a storage solution. Maintaining the hydrated layer and clear junction will aid in ensuring a quick and accurate measurement. If you clean your pH electrode with one of our cleaning solutions, soak it in the HI70300L storage solution for at least one hour before taking measurements.

HI70300L is a solution that can be used to store your pH electrode*. To ensure an optimum response time, the glass sensor tip and the reference junction of the pH electrode should be kept moist and not be allowed to dry out when not in use. Placing the electrode in a small glass filled with storage solution or replacing the solution with a protective cap is a suitable way to store the electrode. The HI70300L should also be used to rehydrate the electrode after a cleaning procedure by soaking for at least one hour before taking measurements.
* Never store pH or ORP electrodes in distilled or deionized water. Doing so will shorten the life of the sensor.
