Description
Density (Specific Gravity) Cups are precision instruments used to determine the density or specific weight of liquids, such as paints, inks, coatings, and similar materials. Maintaining consistent density from batch to batch is essential for ensuring product quality and performance in manufacturing and laboratory environments. These cups are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and provide a measurement tolerance of 0.1%, allowing accurate and reliable density determination. Testing is conducted according to ISO standards at 23 ± 2°C, ensuring consistent measurement conditions.
Each density cup consists of a cylindrical container with a tightly fitted cover that includes a small exhaust hole, allowing excess liquid to escape when the lid is pressed down. This design ensures the cup contains the exact volume of liquid while preventing trapped air bubbles that could affect measurement accuracy. The instrument complies with DIN 53217, ISO 2811-1, and BS 3900 A19 standards, and each unit is supplied with a calibration certificate for quality assurance. Available capacities include 37 ml (BGD 296/1), 50 ml (BGD 296/3), and 100 ml (BGD 296/5), making them suitable for a variety of laboratory and industrial density testing applications.
