Description

The HI96803 Digital Refractometer provides fast and precise measurement of sugar content in foods and beverages by converting the refractive index of a sample into % glucose by weight. Based on ICUMSA methods, the meter automatically compensates for temperature variations between 10 and 40°C, ensuring accurate readings for fruits, juices, energy drinks, honey, soy milk, jams, sauces, puddings, and more. Preparing a standard glucose solution is straightforward, requiring only an analytical balance, high-purity glucose, and distilled water.

Equipped with an LED light, prism, and linear image sensor, the HI96803 evaluates how light refracts through the sample, producing reliable concentration measurements. Additional features include dual-level LCD display for simultaneous glucose and temperature readouts, small 100 μL sample size, stainless steel sample well, IP65 water-resistant housing, automatic shut-off, and battery indicators.
