Description
The HI96800 Digital Refractometer is designed for quick and precise measurement of refractive index and Brix in food, beverage, and laboratory samples. Utilizing a yellow LED light source, prism, and linear image sensor, the instrument measures the behavior of light passing through a sample to determine concentration and density. Users can switch between temperature-compensated nD20, non-compensated nD, and % Brix readings using the “Range” key. One-button calibration with distilled or deionized water ensures ease of use, while the built-in temperature sensor and ICUMSA-based compensation algorithms deliver accurate results.
The meter is built for durability and portability, featuring a stainless steel sample well, upgraded dual-level LCD, and IP65 water-resistant casing for harsh environments. With a fast 1.5-second measurement time, battery indicator, and automatic shut-off after three minutes, the HI96800 provides reliable, efficient, and convenient measurements for field or laboratory applications where accurate sugar content and refractive index data are essential.
