Description
The HI93754C-25 reagent kit is designed for high range COD analysis (0–15000 mg/L O₂) using a modification of the dichromate digestion method. During hot digestion, organic matter present in the sample is oxidized, converting hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium. The reduced chromium is then determined colorimetrically using a compatible tabletop photometer. The intensity of the color produced is proportional to the COD concentration and is displayed directly in mg/L (ppm) O₂, making it ideal for wastewater, industrial effluent, and highly contaminated samples.
Each kit includes 25 pre-measured vials containing pre-dosed reagent, requiring only a small sample volume for testing. The green color-coded vials allow easy range identification, while the secure vial and cap design minimizes the risk of accidental leaks during digestion. Every box is labeled with a batch number and expiration date and supplied with a quality certificate to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance. The pre-dosed format significantly reduces preparation time, eliminates manual reagent mixing, and improves laboratory safety and consistency.
