Hanna Instruments – HI93754A-25 COD Low Range Reagent Vials, EPA Method (25 tests)

The HI93754A-25 COD Reagent Vials are EPA-approved, low range reagents designed for the determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) from 0 to 150 mg/L O₂ using a compatible photometer. These pre-dosed barcode vials follow EPA Method 410.4 (dichromate method) and provide 1 mg/L resolution with ± 5 mg/L ± 5% accuracy. Each box contains 25 ready-to-use vials, clearly labeled with lot number and expiration date for full traceability. Manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities, these reagents reduce preparation time and ensure safe, consistent, and reliable COD testing.

  • EPA Approved Method 410.4 (Dichromate Method)
  • 0–150 mg/L O₂ Range with 1 mg/L Resolution
  • Pre-Dosed, Ready-to-Use Vials (25 per box)
  • Lot Number & Expiration Date for Traceability

Description

The HI93754A-25 reagent kit is designed for low range COD measurement (0–150 mg/L O₂) using the EPA-approved dichromate digestion method. During the digestion process, organic compounds in the sample are oxidized under high temperature conditions. The hexavalent chromium present in the reagent is reduced to trivalent chromium, and the change is measured colorimetrically using a compatible photometer. The intensity of the resulting color is directly proportional to the COD concentration and is displayed in mg/L (ppm) O₂, providing accurate wastewater and environmental analysis.

Each kit contains 25 pre-measured, pre-dosed vials with approximately 3 mL of reagent, minimizing handling and eliminating the need for manual reagent preparation or glassware cleaning. The vials are color-coded (red identification)and feature secure caps to prevent accidental leakage during digestion. Every box is supplied with a quality certificateand is clearly marked with the batch number and expiration date to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance. These ready-to-use reagents significantly reduce preparation time while improving safety and consistency in COD testing.
