The HI8424 is engineered with a heavy, robust, waterproof casing that protects internal electronics from water damage, making it ideal for demanding environments. It provides automatic one- or two-point calibration to standard buffer values (pH 4.01, 7.01, and 10.01) for quick and accurate setup. With a 0.01 pH resolution and ±0.01 pH accuracy, the meter ensures precise pH measurements, supported by a high input impedance of 10¹² Ohms for stable readings. The built-in automatic shut-off feature (after 20 minutes) helps preserve battery life, while a low battery indicator appears at 5% remaining power to prevent unreliable measurements.
For mV and ORP measurements, the HI8424 offers a dual-range system (± 699.9 mV and ± 1999 mV) with automatic resolution switching. Within the ± 699.9 mV range, the resolution automatically adjusts to 0.1 mV with ± 0.2 mV accuracy, delivering high-precision ORP results. Temperature measurements range from -20 to 120°C, with automatic or manual temperature compensation available. The meter is supplied with the HI1230B PEI body pH electrode, known for its durability, and the HI7662 stainless steel temperature probe, ensuring accurate thermal readings. A protective carrying case, calibration buffer sachets, and cleaning solutions are included, making the HI8424 ready for immediate use.
