The HI98168 GroLine Portable Soil pH Meter provides precise soil pH measurement, critical for optimizing plant growth, as soil pH affects nutrient availability and plant health. The meter comes with the HI12923 pH electrode, specifically designed with a conical tip and triple ceramic junction, allowing accurate readings even in low-moisture soils. The electrode features a built-in amplifier to reduce humidity interference and a quick-connect waterproof DIN connector for secure attachment. The meter supports up to five-point calibration with automatic buffer recognition and displays overall electrode condition after calibration using offset and slope data. GLP data is included with all readings and can be logged or transferred to a PC.
Designed for field and laboratory use, the HI98168 combines portability with rugged performance. Its backlit dot-matrix LCD provides intuitive operation with virtual and dedicated keys, and it can log up to 200 samples on-demand. The meter comes as a complete kit, including buffer solutions, soil sample preparation solutions, cleaning solutions, a ground auger, beakers, batteries, micro USB cable, PC software, and a thermoformed hard carrying case, making it ready for immediate use. Additional features such as automatic buffer recognition, selectable auto-shutoff, and low battery indicator ensure reliable operation in harsh and remote environments.
