Hanna Instruments – HI9147 Portable Galvanic Dissolved Oxygen Meter

The HI9147 is a rugged portable dissolved oxygen meter featuring a reliable galvanic measuring system that requires no external polarization voltage. It measures dissolved oxygen up to 50.00 mg/L (600% saturation) with automatic temperature, salinity, and altitude compensation for precise results. Designed for laboratory and field use, it includes Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) features and auto endpoint mode for stable readings. With up to 1000 hours of battery life, the HI9147 is ideal for environmental, wastewater, and aquaculture applications.

  • Galvanic DO system – no warm-up time required
  • Automatic temperature, salinity & altitude compensation
  • Measures up to 50.00 mg/L / 600% saturation
  • Long battery life – approx. 1000 hours

Description

The HI9147 portable dissolved oxygen meter provides accurate DO measurements from 0.00 to 50.00 mg/L (ppm) and 0.0 to 600.0% saturation with ±1% of reading accuracy. It utilizes a galvanic probe with a silver cathode and zinc anode housed in an electrolyte solution behind a PTFE membrane. Calibration is simple and flexible, offering manual calibration in saturated air and automatic one or two-point calibration at 100% and/or 0% saturation. Automatic temperature compensation from 0 to 50°C, along with adjustable salinity (0–51 g/L) and altitude compensation (0–4000 m), ensures reliable readings across diverse environments.

Built for durability and ease of use, the HI9147 includes an auto endpoint feature that freezes the display once a stable measurement is reached. GLP functionality allows users to recall calibration data for documentation and quality control. The replaceable, pretensioned PTFE membranes feature a convenient screw-cap design for easy maintenance. Supplied complete with probe, membranes, electrolyte solution, batteries, and a rugged carrying case, the HI9147 is ready for immediate field deployment.
