Description
The Met One AutoMet 580 and 136 MultiMet Interface Modules are advanced environmental data acquisition systems designed for comprehensive meteorological monitoring. Both devices support multiple analog and digital sensor inputs, including channels for small-signal solar radiation sensors, RTD platinum temperature sensors, rain gauges, and frequency-based wind measurements. They feature versatile communication options, including Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485, and Modbus protocols, allowing seamless integration into automated data logging systems. Each module includes multiple voltage outputs with high 16-bit resolution, two alarm channels with relay contacts, and an intuitive backlit LCD with configurable keypad for straightforward operation in field and laboratory settings.
The AutoMet 580 is optimized for rapid, high-precision meteorological measurements with functions like averaging, min/max detection, delta calculations, standard deviation, and dew point computations. It supports matched pyranometer inputs for solar monitoring and PT-100 platinum sensors for accurate temperature measurements. The 136 MultiMet Interface Module offers 12 analog outputs, 8 analog inputs, and logging for up to 16 channels, with RTU Modbus capability and full field configurability. Both modules are lightweight, compact, and durable, capable of operating in harsh environments with temperatures from −20°C to +60°C and 0–100% non-condensing humidity, making them economical and flexible solutions for climate research, environmental monitoring, and industrial weather stations.
