Superior Signal AccuTrak – VPX-WR AccuTrak Ultrasonic Leak Detector (w/ Dynamic Noise Discrimination)

The VPX-WR Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector is a high-performance compressed gas inspection tool engineered for industrial and institutional environments. With dual ultrasonic detection (AFT & heterodyne), infinitely variable sensitivity, and rugged anodized aluminum construction, it delivers fast, reliable detection of leaks and mechanical faults.

  • Mechanical Design: Cylindrical aluminum body with hard anodized black finish and foam grip
  • Ultrasonic Detection: 20–100 kHz (AFT) and 34–42 kHz (Heterodyne) for versatile leak detection
  • Dual Output: Audio for headset plus visual LED indicators with low battery warning
  • Battery Performance: Ni-MH battery with 8-hour runtime and 16-hour charge

Description

The VPX-WR Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector is designed for industrial facilities, hospitals, hotels, and large institutions requiring precise leak detection and equipment diagnostics. Its dual ultrasonic conversion system (AFT & heterodyne) allows detection of air, vacuum, and refrigerant leaks, even in noisy or high-demand environments. The infinitely variable sensitivity control ensures users can fine-tune detection to identify even the smallest leaks. Built with rugged anodized aluminum and fully sealed connectors, this tool is durable enough for field and plant use.

Beyond leak detection, the VPX-WR supports a wide range of applications including steam trap inspections, valve diagnostics, bearing wear monitoring, electrical system testing, pneumatic and hydraulic checks, and vibration analysis. With audio output, visual LED feedback, and advanced DND technology, it provides technicians with real-time, actionable information to maintain plant efficiency and prevent costly downtime. Lightweight and ergonomic, it’s optimized for industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.

Application

  • The VPX-WR is ideal for large institutional or industrial settings such as schools, hospitals, hotels, and factories. The VPX-WR is the best compressed gas leak detector on the market and is suitable for a wide range of plant maintenance applications.
  • Detection of Leaks: Air, Vacuum, Refrigerants; ANY GAS.
The VPX-WR is the most powerful gas leak detector on the market, thanks to DND technology.
  • Steam Traps: Instantly detect live steam loss.
  • Valve Inspection: Detect internal leakage in check, ball, needle, gate, or any other valve type.
Thermal expansion valves can be diagnosed in just five minutes.
  • Bearings: Detect wear and lubrication issues before they cause damage.
  • Electrical Systems: Check circuit breakers, relays, and buss bars for
electric arc and corona. Examine contacts for corrosion and proper insulation.
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics: Inspect controls, hoses, tools, fittings, and internal cylinders.
  • Vibration Monitoring: Listen for ultrasonic sound produced by excessive friction.
  • Belts for Fans: Detect belt condition issues.
