Description
The Met One E-FRM-DC Reference Method Particulate Sampler is a high-precision air monitoring instrument designed for the accurate measurement of particulate matter (PM) concentrations in ambient air. The sampler complies with U.S. EPA Title 40 CFR Part 50 Appendix L requirements and carries official EPA designations for reference method PM sampling. It operates using a programmable-event filter sampling method, collecting particulate matter on a 47 mm PTFE filter, where concentrations are later determined in µg/m³ through laboratory analysis of filter weight and sampled air volume. The system supports PM10, PM2.5, PM1, and TSP configurations through interchangeable inlets and separators, making it suitable for environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, and research applications.
Designed for durability and field deployment, the sampler features a 4.3-inch graphical touchscreen interface, programmable 24-hour sampling events, and real-time logging of flow rate, temperature, and pressure at 5-minute intervals. The instrument maintains a precise flow rate of 16.67 L/min (1 m³/hr) with ±2% accuracy and includes a diaphragm vacuum pump for stable operation. Data can be collected via RS-232, USB port, or USB flash drive, with support from the FSCommAQ software for analysis and data management.
