Elektropyhsik MiniTest 650 Coating Thickness Measurement

The MiniTest 650 is a compact, handheld device for measuring coating thickness on steel, non-ferrous metals, or both. It is precise, durable, and allows fast measurements with automated substrate detection and data analysis.

  • Measuring Range: 0–3000 µm for steel, 0–2000 µm for non-ferrous metals, or dual sensor mode.
  • Accuracy: ±(2% of reading + 2 µm) with statistical functions (mean, min, max, standard deviation).
  • Durable Probes: Automated substrate recognition with wear-resistant tips.
  • Connectivity & Power: USB interface for data transfer; powered by 3 Micro AAA batteries for over 10,000 readings.

Description

The ElektroPhysik MiniTest 650 is a professional-grade coating thickness gauge engineered for precise, fast, and reliable measurements on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It offers a wide measuring range of up to 3000 µm (120 mils) on steel and up to 2000 µm (80 mils) on non-ferrous metals, with a dual-sensor model (FN) available for versatile use. The device provides high accuracy with an uncertainty of ±(2% of reading + 2 µm) and supports standard, 1-point, and 2-point calibration. With a minimum curvature radius of 5 mm convex and 25 mm concave, it can measure coatings on a variety of surfaces, while its small minimum measuring area of 20 mm diameter allows for precise inspections on limited or irregular surfaces.

Designed for both portability and durability, the MiniTest 650 features a 4-digit display for easy reading, stores statistical data from up to 9,999 measurements, and can output mean, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum values for comprehensive analysis. Its universal probe automatically identifies substrates, and the robust probe tips are highly wear-resistant, ensuring long-term reliability. The device includes a USB interface for effortless data transfer to a PC, supports over 10,000 readings with three Micro AAA batteries, and operates effectively in a wide temperature range, making it ideal for field inspections, quality control, and industrial coating assessments.

Features

  • Measuring coating thickness between 2 and 3 mm.
  • For rapid measurements on steel and non-ferrous metals, a universal probe with automated substrate identification is available.
  • Probe tips that are essentially indestructible and resistant to wear.
  • USB interface for PC data transmission.
  • Analysis using statistics of the readings (measurement data).
