The HI97750 utilizes a turbidimetric tetraphenylborate method to determine potassium concentration, producing a turbidity-based color change analyzed via Beer-Lambert Law. A 466 nm LED with narrow 8 nm bandpass filterallows precise detection of the sample, while the concave focusing lens reduces measurement errors from cuvette imperfections. This innovative optical system ensures fast, stable, and repeatable measurements, making it suitable for agriculture, greenhouse, and lab environments.
Designed for field and benchtop use, the HI97750 is fully waterproof (IP67) with a cuvette holder that prevents optical path damage and a gasketed battery compartment for 3 AA batteries (>800 measurements). The backlit dot matrix LCD provides intuitive virtual keys for selecting units, recalling up to 50 readings, and customizing the meter.
