The HI98193 Waterproof Portable DO & BOD Meter is a high-precision polarographic dissolved oxygen meter for fresh and saltwater applications. It includes built-in calculations for BOD, OUR, and SOUR, eliminating manual conversions. With automatic compensation for temperature, barometric pressure, and salinity, it ensures accurate readings under variable environmental conditions. Supplied with the HI764073 polarographic DO probe with field-replaceable PTFE membrane caps, it features quick-connect waterproof DIN connection, log-on-demand for 400 readings, GLP compliance, and IP67 rugged design.

Description

The HI98193 is designed for reliable, professional dissolved oxygen and biochemical oxygen demand testing. The meter uses the HI764073 polarographic DO probe with field-replaceable PTFE membrane caps and a protective sleeve for outdoor use. Automatic compensation for temperature (0–50°C), barometric pressure (450–850 mmHg), and salinity (0–70 g/L) ensures highly accurate readings. One- or two-point calibrations at 0% and 100% DO saturation simplify setup, while a built-in barometer and temperature sensor allow for precise environmental corrections.

The meter also provides direct BOD, OUR, and SOUR readings, GLP-compliant data for the last calibration, and log-on-demand storage for up to 400 measurements, which can be transferred via USB with HI92000 software. Its backlit high-contrast LCD, intuitive dedicated and virtual keys, and rugged IP67 waterproof housing make it ideal for field and laboratory use. The meter comes as a complete kit with probe, preformed PTFE membrane caps, zero oxygen solution, electrolyte solution, beakers, software, USB cable, batteries, instruction manual, and rugged carrying case.
