Hanna Instruments HI98193 Waterproof Portable Dissolved Oxygen and BOD Meter

A tough, transportable dissolved oxygen (DO) meter for demanding applications is the HI98193. This expert, IP67-compliant, waterproof meter measures temperature, DO, barometric pressure, and BOD. All necessary tools for performing a DO measurement are included with the HI98193, which is delivered in a sturdy carrying case.

  • Preformed PTFE Membrane
  • Quick Connect
  • Ergonomic, One-Handed Operation

Description

The HI764073 polarographic dissolved oxygen probe is included with the HI98193 for the purpose of measuring DO. This probe uses field replaceable premade PTFE membrane covers. The probe’s connection to the meter is made possible via a special quick connect waterproof DIN connector that is both quick and easy to connect and disconnect.
With increased ranges of up to 50 ppm and 600% saturation, the portable DO meter model HI98193 is available. For an accurate reading when measuring dissolved oxygen, pressure, temperature, and salinity corrections are crucial.
The built-in barometer of the meter can automatically compensate for pressure, or it can be manually entered. By entering the value of a reference barometer, the built-in barometer can be calibrated to one point. Users can choose from a variety of units to display pressure, including mmHg, inHg, atm, psi, kPa, and mbar.
A built-in temperature sensor allows the HI764073 DO probe to automatically compensate for temperature. One or two calibration points are available for the temperature sensor. In saline waters, dissolved oxygen levels can be salinity compensated manually by entering salinity values.
The measurement of biological oxygen demand (BOD), oxygen uptake rate (OUR), and specific oxygen uptake rate are among the additional characteristics (SOUR).
Users of the HI98193 can store up to 400 readings using the log on-demand capability. Following that, using the HI920015 USB cable and HI92000 software, this data may be transferred to a PC.
A fixed dedicated key provides access to GLP data, which comprises date, time, pressure, calibrated value, temperature, and salinity value from the most recent calibration.
By pressing a dedicated button, you can receive content-specific information based on the screen that is now being viewed and access support at any time.
With the backlight on, the high contrast graphic LCD is simple to read both indoors and out in broad sunlight. Easy, intuitive operation in a variety of languages is made possible by a combination of dedicated and virtual keys.
The complete set of tools required to take a field measurement, including the meter and electrode, beakers, buffer solutions, cleaning solutions, and storage solutions, are thermoformed into the small, tough HI760193 carrying case.

On-screen Features

BOD results
BOD is calculated in mg per liter from the difference between the initial and final dissolved oxygen concentration readings.
BOD parameters and records
All necessary parameters for BOD testing can be set and displayed at once.A list of all saved BOD data can be easily retrieved and shown on the LCD display.
OUR resultsOUR results
Measured in mg of oxygen consumed per L per hour.
SOUR resultsSOUR results
Measured in mg of oxygen consumed per g of volatile suspended solids per hour.
