Description
The HI9813-5 is designed for users who require straightforward, dependable water quality measurements. It measures pH (0.0–14.0), EC (0.00–4.00 mS/cm), and TDS (0–1999 ppm) with automatic temperature compensation from 0 to 50°C. Calibration is performed manually through offset and slope trimmers, allowing one-point adjustment for pH, EC, and TDS. The meter uses a variable EC to TDS conversion factor (0.56 to 0.72) based on the TDS 442 curve for natural water, ensuring more representative readings for environmental and agricultural samples.
The included HI1285-5 amplified combination probe integrates pH, EC, TDS, and temperature sensors into a single body with an 8-pin DIN connector and 1 m cable. This simplifies field operation while maintaining stable signal transmission. Powered by a 9V battery with approximately 150 hours of continuous use, the HI9813-5 is compact, durable, and well-suited for everyday water testing in demanding environments.
