Hanna Instruments HI8734 Three Range Portable TDS Meter
For use in water conditioning applications such as softening, demineralization, reverse osmosis, and drinking water, the HI8734 is a tough, portable TDS meter. Additionally, it can be applied to a range of environmental situations. Users are guaranteed consistent and accurate total dissolved solids measurements thanks to manual temperature correction for TDS readings.

- manually calibrated in a standard TDS solution at one specific location
- To quickly alter range, there are three specialized buttons.
- If a reading is outside of range, the meter will notify that a new range should be chosen.
- Given that the HI8734 has a fixed TDS factor of 0.5, 1 S/cm corresponds to 0.5 mg/L (ppm) of TDS.
- The sample temperature is adjusted by 2% for every degree Celsius shift using the temperature compensation coefficient, which is set at 2%/°C.
- With just one sensor, the HI76301D four-ring probe that comes with the meter can measure a variety of things.
- When conducting measurements outside, the probe’s protective PVC sleeve ensures longevity.
