The HI8734 is engineered for portable, low-to-high range TDS measurement. Users can manually calibrate it in a standard TDS solution at a single point using the TDS knob, ensuring simple and reliable setup. The device includes three range options to quickly adapt to different sample concentrations, with built-in alerts to indicate if a reading is outside the selected range. With a fixed TDS factor of 0.5, 1 S/cm of conductivity corresponds to 0.5 mg/L (ppm) of TDS.
The supplied HI76301D four-ring conductivity probe features a DIN connector and 1 m cable, allowing a single sensor to measure multiple parameters. The probe also includes a PVC protective sleeve, enhancing durability for outdoor or field use. The meter provides manual temperature compensation from 0 to 50°C, adjusting the sample reading by 2% per degree Celsius. With a compact form factor, 9V battery operation (approx. 100 hours), and a rugged design, the HI8734 is ideal for portable, accurate TDS monitoring.
