Thin and Rugged Design
The HI148 is protected by an IP67-rated, tough, waterproof ABS housing that can withstand immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter. Multiple Sensor Options
There are four models of the HI148 temperature dataloggers. Models with one or two channels and a mix of internal and/or external sensors are available. A stainless steel probe on a 1 m (3.3′) flexible silicone cable is included with loggers that have an external temperature sensor.
Programmable LCD Display
The HI148 has a sizable, crystal-clear LCD screen with a broad viewing angle. The LCD is divided into three sections: the top shows the datalogger’s status; the middle shows the temperature reading, units, and active channel; and the bottom display, which is user-selectable, can show the minimum and maximum temperatures, high and low alarm thresholds, the number of samples currently being taken, and the number of samples that are outside alarm ranges.
With the aid of a USB-C connector and the HI92148 PC software, all dataloggers may be configured and have their log data transferred. To track outcomes by meter, each datalogger is serialized with a different ID code. Operating systems such as Windows(R) XP or newer are compatible with the HI92148 PC software.
Customizable Program Settings
With the help of the HI92148 PC software, a wide range of programming options are available for the HI148 waterproof thermologgers, including:
• A dedicated button on the rear can be pressed to manually start logging mode, which can be delayed by choosing a predetermined time (1 second to 199 hours).
• High and low alarm limits that can be programmed, with visual LED indicators
• Interval between logging and measuring (from 1 sec to 24 hours for 1-channel models, and from 2 sec to 24 hrs for 2-channel models)
• An ID number and password can be given to each logging session.
Data Retrieval and Analysis
The thermologgers have large memory capacities, with 1-channel versions having 16,000 samples and 2-channel models having 8,000 samples per channel. The HI92148 program shows logged data as a table and a graphical representation. The data can also be exported as a spreadsheet for additional data analysis, while the graphic representation can be saved as an image file.
