The HI99121 Portable Soil pH Meter provides precise, reliable soil pH measurements, essential for optimizing plant growth. Soil pH strongly influences nutrient availability, microbial activity, and plant health, with most plants preferring a range of 5.5–7.5 pH. The included HI12923 electrode features a pre-amplified glass body and built-in temperature sensor, providing a fast, stable response that is resistant to humidity and electrical noise. Its conical tip design allows direct measurement in soil, and the electrode can be refilled with reference electrolyte to extend its lifetime. The meter automatically compensates for temperature variations, and its CAL Check™ system alerts users to any electrode or buffer issues while displaying the overall probe condition.
Designed for field and agricultural use, the HI99121 is lightweight, ergonomic, and durable, with a large multi-level LCD that shows pH, temperature, calibration status, and battery power. Automatic one- or two-point calibration ensures quick setup, while the BEPS low battery alert prevents inaccurate readings. The meter comes as a complete kit, including buffer solutions, soil preparation solution, cleaning solutions for inorganic and organic soil deposits, a soil auger, a plastic beaker, batteries, instructions, and a hard carrying case, making it ready for immediate soil testing in challenging environments.
