Description
The Met One Instruments BAM-1020 Continuous Particulate Monitor is a regulatory-grade air quality instrument designed for continuous measurement of ambient particulate matter using the proven beta attenuation method. It is fully designated as a US-EPA Equivalent Method for PM10, PM2.5, and PM10-2.5, delivering highly accurate mass concentration data across a wide measurement range of 0–10 mg/m³. With a standard 16.67 L/min flow rate, hourly measurement cycles, and extremely low instrument noise, the BAM-1020 provides reliable, repeatable results that meet and exceed all US-EPA performance requirements, making it suitable for both regulatory compliance and scientific monitoring applications.
Engineered for long-term, unattended field operation, the BAM-1020 features a continuous glass fiber filter tape capable of more than 60 days of operation per roll, minimizing maintenance and operational costs. Advanced Smart Heater humidity control ensures stable measurements even in high-humidity environments, while automatic span checks, comprehensive alarm diagnostics, and extensive onboard data storage (up to 1.6 years of hourly data) enhance reliability and traceability. The instrument supports multiple communication interfaces including RS-232, USB, analog outputs, and alarm contacts, and is compatible with Air Plus™ and COMET™ software. Its rugged construction and flexible mounting options make the BAM-1020 ideal for fixed monitoring stations, portable shelters, environmental agencies, and research networks requiring dependable, EPA-approved particulate monitoring.
