Description
The Analog Radiation Detector MC1K is a rugged and reliable survey instrument designed for accurate detection of gamma and X-ray radiation across an expanded range of up to 1000 mR/hr. Using an energy-compensated, halogen-quenched Geiger-Müller (GM) tube, it delivers a linear and stable response from 40 keV and above, making it suitable for both low-level background monitoring and high-radiation field measurements. With selectable range settings (X1, X10, X100, X1000) and clear analog indication, the MC1K provides dependable real-time radiation readings in demanding environments.
Designed for safety and field usability, the MC1K includes an audible beeper alarm for immediate radiation awareness, with the option for silent operation. Its anti-saturation circuitry protects the meter in extremely high radiation fields, while long battery life of up to 2,000 hours ensures extended operation without frequent replacement. Lightweight, durable, and easy to carry, the MC1K is ideal for general radiation surveys, personal protection, industrial gauge inspection, X-ray shielding checks, and locating lost radioactive sources.
