Description
The BGD 299 Hiding Power Test Board provides an efficient way to assess the hiding capacity of paints. The board features 16 white squares and 16 black squares, each 25×25mm in size, printed on a durable glass surface. To perform the test, the operator brushes paint over the squares until both black and white areas are completely obscured. The paint weight used is measured and divided by the total area to express the hiding power in g/cm², allowing a clear and quantitative comparison of different coatings.
Designed for practical laboratory and industrial use, the test board offers consistent and repeatable results thanks to its defined reflectance values: white squares reflect 80±2% of light, while black squares reflect ≤1%. Its compact size of 250×100mm makes it easy to handle and store, while providing a fast and reliable method to compare the hiding efficiency of different paints.
