The HI97104 Photometer is a portable, waterproof meter designed to measure pH, alkalinity, free chlorine, total chlorine, and cyanuric acid in swimming pools and water systems. It uses LED light with narrowband interference filters and a silicon photocell detector for highly accurate and repeatable readings. The device features tutorial mode, CAL Check, and GLP data recall, making it extremely user-friendly for both novice and professional users.

Description

The HI97104 measures key swimming pool water parameters using colorimetric methods, including the DPD method for chlorine and turbidimetric method for cyanuric acid. The optical system features LED light with 8 nm narrowband interference filters, a reference detector for stable light output, and a concave focusing lens that reduces errors from cuvette imperfections. This ensures highly accurate, repeatable, and fast measurements, critical for maintaining safe and sanitized water.

Designed for both field and benchtop use, the HI97104 is fully waterproof (IP67) with a cuvette holder designed to protect the optical path and a gasketed battery compartment holding three AA batteries. The 128 x 64 pixel backlit dot matrix LCD supports virtual keys, help menu, tutorial mode, and GLP data management. Advanced features such as CAL Check, multiple reagent methods, and built-in reaction timer allow consistent, accurate measurements while remaining easy to use for all levels of operators.
