Hanna Instruments – HI99192 Drinking Water pH Portable Meter

The HI99192 Drinking Water pH Portable Meter is engineered for accurate pH measurement of low conductivity water such as drinking water, surface water, and groundwater. Designed in accordance with EPA 150.1 and Standard Methods 4500-H, it ensures reliable electrochemical analysis even in low ionic strength samples. Featuring the advanced FC2153 amplified pH electrode with triple ceramic junction, it provides superior stability and faster response. With IP67 waterproof protection and automatic temperature compensation, it delivers precision performance in field and laboratory environments.

  • Designed for Low Conductivity Water – Ensures accurate readings in drinking and surface water.
  • Triple Ceramic Junction Electrode – Improves electrolyte flow for stable measurements.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation – Built-in sensor for precise results.
  • IP67 Waterproof Meter – Built for rugged field applications.

Description

Measuring drinking water pH can be challenging due to its low mineral content and low conductivity, which may cause unstable readings with standard electrodes. The HI99192 overcomes this issue using the FC2153 amplified pH electrode with enhanced electrolyte flow (40–50 µL/hour), ensuring stronger electrical continuity between the reference and measuring electrode. This makes it highly reliable for surface water, groundwater, and treated drinking water applications.

The electrode features a durable glass body for chemical resistance, a spherical sensing tip for maximum contact with aqueous samples, and a built-in temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation from -5 to 105°C. Combined with automatic calibration, sensor diagnostics, and long 1400-hour battery life, this meter provides consistent, professional-level performance in demanding environments.

Features

  • IP67 Waterproof Protection – Suitable for field use; resistant to water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
  • Triple Ceramic Junction (40–50 µL/hour flow rate) – Ensures stable readings in low conductivity water.
  • Amplified FC2153 Electrode with Built-In Temperature Sensor – Eliminates need for separate temperature probe.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation (-5 to 105°C) – Maintains accuracy across varying temperatures.
  • Automatic One or Two-Point Calibration – Supports standard and NIST buffer sets.
  • Sensor Check & Probe Condition Indicator – 5-bar system monitors electrode health.
  • Wide pH Range (-2.00 to 16.00 pH) with ±0.02 pH Accuracy – High precision performance.
  • Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) – Prevents inaccurate readings due to low battery.
  • Up to 1400 Hours Battery Life (3 AAA Batteries) – Long operational lifespan.
