Hanna Instruments HI98198 opdo Waterproof Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meter

The HI98198 portable Optical DO (opdo) meter measures the amount of dissolved oxygen in water and wastewater using a luminous optical technique. This expert, IP67-compliant, waterproof meter measures temperature, DO, barometric pressure, and BOD. All necessary accessories, including a probe, a smartcap sensor with built-in RFID, and a tough carrying bag, are included with the HI98198.
In comparison to other Galvanic and Polarographic Dissolved Oxygen Meters, the HI98198 Dissolved Oxygen Meter has significant advantages. The HI764113 Rugged Optical Dissolved Oxygen Probe used by this meter, which has the advantages listed below, is used to measure dissolved oxygen.
  • No membranes or electrolyte
  • No flow dependence or minimum flow rate
  • Fast and stable readings
  • Minimal maintenance

Description

Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meter

HI98198 uses enhanced optical dissolved oxygen technology to test dissolved oxygen levels in water with high levels of precision. There is no need for manual conversions because the measurements of Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR), and Specific Oxygen Uptake Rate (SOUR) are already included in the built-in techniques and computations.

Higher Traceability
Make sure GLP data can be used with your data. Date, time, pressure, calibrated value, temperature, and salinity value of the most recent calibration are all data that can be accessed by a fixed dedicated key.
Multipurpose Data Logging
The log-on-demand feature of the HI98198 lets you store up to 4000 readings. To automatically hold the first steady reading on the display during a measurement, press the AutoEnd button.
Focus on What Is Important
Your meter will recognize and initialize a new cap when you put one on. It will notify you if your cap is damaged, missing, or needs to be changed so that you have one less thing to worry about.
Quick Connect Probe
Excellent Field Usability
With an IP67-rated, waterproof meter, you won’t have to worry about the elements interfering with your ability to take crucial measures. The HI98198 is designed to resist up to 30 minutes of submersion in water up to 1m deep. No matter how much light is present, a huge display and a rear light function make sure that all of your crucial information is clearly visible.
Port universal
The incredibly adaptable USB-C connection incorporates smooth data transfer. There is no software required; just connect a USB-C to a memory stick, computer, or Android device to send your data as a.csv file.
Probe with Quick Connect
The DO probe can be installed quickly and easily using the Quick Connect fitting. The waterproof connection and absence of threads make it straightforward to attach and detach the probe.

HI764113 Rugged Optical DO Probe

HI764113 Rugged Optical DO Probe for Fresh and Saltwater Applications

Built Strong

When measuring in challenging situations, a sturdy ABS shell and a stainless-steel protective shield guarantee durability. This probe is completely sealed against dust and water thanks to its IP68 classification.

Professional Level Performance

The domed cover provides a quick response time by deterring bubbles for improved measurement sensitivity.

Minimize Hassle

The opdo probe is ready to use whenever you need it because there are no additional membranes to change and no electrolyte is required.

Smart Cap Technology

Smart Cap Technology

Automatic Cap Recognition

Hanna’s Smart Caps have an integrated RFID reader that may retain significant information, such as the date of production and the date of first use for improved traceability.

Longer Life

After their initial use, Smart Caps are good for a year. Your meter will begin to automatically count down from initialization and will notify you with an on-screen message when it has run out.

Aligned Right Every Time

An alignment key ensures that your Smart Cap is on correctly every time.

HI98198 Optical Dissolved Oxygen Box

We believe that buying a meter should be simple. Your Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meter is equipped with everything you need for successful testing right out of the box.

Zero Oxygen Calibration Solution

When performing a DO calibration, it is important that the correct standards are used. We include some starter solution to get you going. HI7040L is a bi-component zero oxygen solution designed so you can quickly calibrate to 0% oxygen concentration.

Accessories

Having the accessories you need on hand makes testing a simple process. The included calibration vessel and beakers fit snug in the rugged carrying case and a USB cable lets you transfer your data with ease.

Complete Package

Your meter, probe, and accessories are all neatly packaged in a rugged carrying case to ensure that you have everything you need for on-the-go field testing.
