Obsnapmeter- Viscosity Cup ASTM D1084 D4212 Immersion Zahn

The Immersion Zahn Viscosity Cup is a stainless steel cup used to quickly measure the viscosity of paints, coatings, and other liquids by timing how long the liquid flows through the cup’s nozzle.

  • Multiple Cup Sizes – Available in 5 cup numbers (No.1–No.5) to measure different viscosity ranges from 20 to 1800 cSt.
  • Durable Stainless Steel Construction – Cup, nozzle, and handle made from stainless steel (SS303) for durability and corrosion resistance.
  • Easy Dip Measurement – Long handle design allows the cup to be immersed directly into liquid containers for quick viscosity checks.
  • Standard Compliance – Designed according to ASTM D1084 and ASTM D4212 standards and can be calibrated using certified oils.

Description

The Obsnapmeter Viscosity Cup ASTM D1084 / D4212 Immersion Zahn is a stainless steel viscosity measurement tool designed for quick and practical testing of coatings, paints, oils, and other industrial liquids. Manufactured from stainless steel with a fixed stainless steel nozzle, the cup complies with ASTM D1084 and ASTM D4212 standards, ensuring reliable and consistent viscosity measurements. The device features a 44.0 cm³ cup capacity and a long handle, allowing the operator to easily immerse the cup into a liquid sample and measure flow time to determine viscosity during production or application processes.

Available in five different cup numbers (No.1–No.5) with varying nozzle diameters, the Zahn cup covers a wide viscosity range from very thin liquids to highly viscous mixtures. The simple design eliminates hard-to-clean recesses, making maintenance easy while maintaining measurement accuracy. Each cup is produced under strict quality control procedures and is supplied with a unique engraved serial number, with optional calibration certification available using certified oils for improved measurement reliability.

Features

  • Each cup has a long handle to allow the cup to be dipped by hand into a liquid container, which makes it easy to quickly check and adjust the viscosity of many different type of liquids.
  • The design of the cup and orifice eliminate hard to clean recesses.
  • TQC viscosity cups are made under the continuing quality control procedures.
  • Each cup is provided with an engraved unique serial number.
