The Rhopoint Viscomixer is a fully automated, high-precision viscometer designed for monitoring and controlling the viscosity of coatings, paints, and inks throughout the manufacturing process. It provides real-time, high-resolution charts of test samples, with results displayed immediately in Krebs Units (KU), grams, or cP. The Viscomixer features a Krebs rotor spinning at 200 rpm, integrated temperature probe, and automatic paddle positioning to ensure consistent and reproducible measurements. Its quick-release magnetic paddle and easy-to-clean design make it highly practical even in demanding industrial environments, while the RS232-compatible printer output allows for date- and time-stamped documentation.
This instrument is especially useful for determining the correct solvent or thinner addition during production, allowing operators to measure viscosity changes directly in small sample containers (250–500 ml) and scale the results for full production batches. With precision of ±1% F.S, reproducibility of ±1% F.S, and compliance with ASTM D562, D856, and D1131 standards, the Viscomixer ensures that coatings maintain the desired rheological properties, preventing problems like sagging, poor leveling, or inconsistent performance.
