Description

The QuintSonic T Coating Thickness Gauge by Elektropyhsik is a high-precision instrument designed for fast and accurate measurement of coating thickness on various materials. Using the ultrasonic pulse run-time method, it can measure up to 8 layers in a single operation, with multiple measuring ranges from 356 µm to 7,500 µm and corresponding resolutions from 0.25 µm to 4 µm. The device supports minimum layer thicknesses around 10 µm, a small measuring area of 5 mm Ø, and a contact area of 10 mm Ø, making it suitable for small or curved objects. It offers real-time statistical analysis including minimum, maximum, average, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, histograms, and trend diagrams, while providing measurement units in µm, mm, or mils.

Equipped with SIDSP® sensor-integrated 32-bit digital signal processing, the QuintSonic T ensures rapid evaluation without sacrificing accuracy or reproducibility, achieving over 40 measurements per minute. Data can be transferred via Bluetooth, WiFi, or SD card, and calibration is supported through sound velocity adjustments for up to 8 layers. The device complies with DIN EN ISO 2808 standards and operates within 5 °C to 50 °C, making it suitable for industrial quality control in coatings, paint, and surface finishing applications. Its compact, high-speed design allows efficient measurement on small, complex, or curved surfaces while maintaining precise and repeatable results.

Features

  • As a result of the sensor-integrated digital 32-bit signal processing (SIDSP®), the measurement signal may be quickly evaluated while maintaining high precision and reproducibility.
  • More than 40 measurements each minute: start, wait a second, finish.
  • The measurement of small and curved items is possible with a just 5 mm measuring area.
