S.E. International- Radiation Alert 1000EC Energy-compensated gamma and X-ray detection.

A portable energy-compensated gamma and X-ray detector that provides accurate, real-time radiation monitoring for environmental, industrial, and safety applications.

  • Energy-Compensated Detection: Uses a halogen-quenched GM tube to detect gamma and X-rays down to 40 keV with flat response.
  • Wide Measurement Range: Measures dose rate, CPM/CPS, and total counts from background to high radiation fields.
  • Alerts & User Interface: Features audible/visual alarms, graphic LCD with backlight, and red LED count indicator.
  • Portable & Connected: Lightweight (204 g), long battery life (~800 hours), with USB and Bluetooth connectivity for data logging.

Description

The S.E. International Radiation Alert 1000EC is a highly sensitive, energy-compensated gamma and X-ray radiation detector, engineered for both field and laboratory use. It features a halogen-quenched GM tube calibrated to provide flat response from 40 keV and above, delivering dose rate readings from 0.001 to 1000 mR/hr (0.01 to 10,000 µSv/hr) and counts per minute up to 450,000. The device includes selectable alert thresholds, a pulsating beeper alarm, and adjustable units (mR/hr, µSv/hr, CPM, CPS), allowing precise monitoring of radiation levels with factory accuracy of ±15%, and ±10% with optional NIST calibration.

Designed for ease of use and portability, the 1000EC includes a graphic LCD with backlight, a red LED count indicator, and audible click per count. Data can be accessed via USB using the Observer software or wirelessly through Bluetooth with the Observer BLE app. Lightweight at 204 g, it operates on USB power or two AA batteries with up to 800 hours of battery life. Ideal for detecting surface contamination, monitoring occupational exposure, screening environmental sites, and identifying low-energy radionuclides, it is well-suited for HVAC, industrial, environmental, and emergency response applications.
