The Obsnapmeter test tapes are high-performance tapes designed for a variety of surface testing applications, including adhesion, appearance, scratch, dust, roughness, and temperature assessments. Featuring ScotchPar™ polyester film backing reinforced with glass fibers, these tapes are highly durable, moisture-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding test conditions. The translucent design allows for easy visual inspection of prints and coatings during testing, while the high tensile strength and shear adhesion provide reliable results with minimal operator influence.
With a pressure-sensitive solvent natural rubber resin adhesive, these tapes adhere instantly with minimal rubdown and maintain excellent aging properties for long-term usability. The tape has a thickness of 150 µm (0.0059 in), a tensile strength of 665.5 N/cm, and an elongation at break of 3%, making it suitable for use on a wide range of materials, including aluminum, steel, tinplate, films, paints, and coatings.
