Description
The Met One 597A Temperature, Humidity, and Pressure Sensor is a versatile environmental monitoring instrument designed to provide accurate, real-time measurements in a compact and durable package. It can measure temperatures from −50 °C to +70 °C with an accuracy of ±0.2 °C, relative humidity from 0–100 % with ±2 % accuracy, and atmospheric pressure from 500 to 1100 mbar with ±0.5 mbar accuracy. The sensor provides high-resolution readings (0.01 °C for temperature, 0.1 % for humidity, and 0.01 mbar for pressure) and a fast measurement rate of 1 Hz, making it suitable for precise monitoring of environmental conditions in research, weather stations, and industrial applications.
Engineered for durability, the 597A features an anodized and powder-coated aluminum housing with a weatherproof IP65 rating. It supports multiple analog (0–2.5 VDC, 0–1 VDC, 0–5 VDC) and digital outputs (RS-232C, SDI-12, RS-485) for easy integration into monitoring networks. Lightweight and easy to install, the sensor operates over a full range of temperatures and humidity levels and draws minimal power (25 mA typical at 12 VDC). Its combination of precision, ruggedness, and compact design makes the 597A ideal for ambient monitoring, climate research, and environmental data collection.
