Description
The S.E. International AM-7128 Radiation Area Monitor is a high-performance radiation detection system designed for continuous area monitoring in sensitive environments. It utilizes an energy-compensated GM detector (LND 7128) with a sensitivity of 18 cps/mR/hr, capable of measuring dose rates from 0.1 to 200 mR/hr (0.1–2000 µSv/hr). The system features automatic response times from 20 seconds to 2 seconds and provides NIST-calibrated readings within ±10% accuracy, ensuring reliable and precise monitoring. The touch screen interface (4.3-inch TFT, 480×272) and 5-digit LED display with 65K true colors allow users to view radiation levels in units including µR/hr, mR/hr, µSv/hr, mSv/hr, CPM, kCPM, CPS, and kCPS, while offering programmable audio and visual alarms for immediate alerts.
The AM-7128 supports remote monitoring and control via USB VCP and Ethernet (10 Base-T), with up to three relay outputs for integration with other safety systems. Power is supplied through a 12 VDC wall adapter with an SLA battery providing 5–6 hours of backup operation, and the high voltage is user-adjustable from 200 to 1200 V. Housed in a durable steel enclosure, the monitor operates reliably in temperatures from −10°C to +50°C with 10–70% relative humidity. It is suitable for applications such as hospital room monitoring, laboratories, accelerators, X-ray facilities, and portal monitoring for doors and walkways, providing robust protection and rapid detection in professional settings.
