Description
The HI97735 photometer accurately measures total hardness in water, detecting calcium and magnesium levels that indicate potential scaling issues or increased detergent consumption. It covers low (0–250 mg/L), medium (200–500 mg/L), and high (400–750 mg/L) ranges, producing a red-violet hue proportional to hardness. Its innovative optical system, including 8 nm narrowband filters, a concave focusing lens, and reference detector, ensures high accuracy, repeatability, and greater light efficiency. The meter’s backlit dot matrix LCD, virtual keys, and tutorial mode guide users step by step, making operation extremely intuitive.
Designed for field and bench use, the HI97735 is completely waterproof, with a cuvette holder that protects the optical path and a gasketed battery compartment for three AA batteries capable of ~800 measurements. It features stable and efficient LED light sources, CAL Check verification, multiple selectable units (mg/L CaCO3, °f, °dH, °E), built-in reaction timer, and auto-off protection to ensure reliable and repeatable results in any environment. Its compact and ergonomic design allows comfortable handheld or benchtop use.
