Description
The HI97728 photometer measures nitrate in water from 0.0 to 30.0 mg/L using the cadmium reduction method. In acidic conditions, nitrite ions react with sulfanilic acid to produce a colored solution, with intensity proportional to nitrate concentration. Its innovative optical system, including LED light with 8 nm narrowband filter, reference detector, and concave focusing lens, provides high accuracy, repeatability, and faster readings. The backlit dot matrix LCD, virtual keys, and tutorial mode guide users step by step, making operation simple and intuitive.
Designed for both field and lab use, the HI97728 is fully waterproof, including the cuvette holder and gasketed battery compartment. It supports more than 800 measurements with three AA batteries, and features auto-off protection, CAL Check verification, multiple units selection, built-in reaction timer, and a large cuvette for low absorbance samples. Its compact, ergonomic design ensures comfortable handheld or benchtop operation, while the meter logs the last 50 readings for data tracking.
