The HI758 Marine Calcium Checker® HC is engineered to provide a straightforward, precise, and economicalmethod for determining calcium levels in saltwater aquariums and marine environments. Designed as a dedicated single-parameter instrument, the HI758 performs calcium analysis using an adaptation of the Zincon method with an LED light source at 610 nm and a silicon photocell detector. Measurements are fast and simple, requiring only four steps. To zero the instrument, 1 mL of Reagent A is added to deionized/distilled water as a blank. With its automatic shut-off (10 minutes), compact dimensions (81.5 × 61 × 37.5 mm), and lightweight build (64 g), this checker is ideal for hobbyists and marine professionals alike.
