Description
The HI7041S is intended to replenish the electrolyte solution for polarographic dissolved oxygen probes. The Ross and Clark polarographic measurement method is at the heart of polarographic sensor technology. A platinum electrode and a solid silver electrode make up an oxygen probe. A PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane holds a concentrated potassium chloride solution over the electrode of the HI7041S. An external voltage is applied to the platinum cathode, silver anode, electrolyte solution, and gas-permeable membrane in polarographic technology to generate a current proportional to the concentration of oxygen in a solution.
