The Met One 061 & 065 air temperature sensors are precision thermistor-based devices designed for accurate temperature measurements in environmental monitoring. They provide fast response, high accuracy, and NIST-traceable calibration, suitable for both naturally and fan-aspirated radiation shields.

Description

The Met One 061 & 065 Air Temperature Sensors are precision instruments designed for accurate ambient temperature monitoring in meteorological and environmental applications. Both models operate over a wide range of −30°C to +50°C (−22°F to +122°F) with excellent accuracy of ±0.15°C (0.27°F). The 065 features a rugged white machined plastic housing with a protective thermistor bead and military-quality screw connector, while the 061 uses a compact cylindrical housing ideal for integration with the 076B Radiation Shield. Both sensors are equipped with cables of user-specified length for flexible installation.

For high-precision needs, the T-200 variant offers extended operating ranges up to −50°C to +70°C (−58°F to +158°F), a sensitivity of α 0.00385 ± 0.00002 Ω/Ω/°C, and a fast response time of 10 seconds in steady air. Its NIST-traceable calibration ensures reliable readings, and the thermistor bead is suspended in “free air” to minimize measurement errors. With swappable design, 4-wire configuration for reduced signal line resistance, and compatibility with radiation shields, these sensors are ideal for accurate, rapid, and repeatable temperature measurements in both research and field applications.
