Description
The TES-1354 / 1355 Noise Dose Meter is a portable, high-precision device designed to measure occupational noise exposure and sound dose. Both models comply with IEC 61252:2000 and ANSI S1.25:1992 standards for dosimeters and sound exposure meters. They measure sound levels from 70 dBA to 140 dBA with ±1 dB accuracy and feature FAST and SLOW time weighting along with A-frequency weighting. Users can set criterion levels from 80–90 dB, thresholds from 70–90 dB, and exchange rates of 3, 4, 5, or 6 dB. The TES-1355 model adds advanced functionality, including RS-232 communication, real-time clock, and event logging for up to 5 separate noise events. Both meters are lightweight and pocket-sized, powered by AAA batteries providing up to 40 hours (TES-1354) or 32 hours (TES-1355) of operation, making them ideal for field measurements in industrial and occupational environments.
These meters are equipped with a 1/2 inch electret condenser microphone and optional calibrator (TES-1356), ensuring accurate readings across a 20 Hz–10 kHz frequency range. Key features include automatic top-level flags at 115 dBA and 140 dBA, security lock for power-off protection, and the ability to measure % noise dose, exposure time, and sound levels. Their robust design supports occupational health monitoring across various international standards, including Germany, France, Belgium, UK, Sweden, Japan, and Canada. The TES-1355, with data storage, software interface, and RS-232 connectivity, is particularly suitable for professional compliance audits and detailed noise exposure analysis.
