Description
The Eektropyshik SmarTest Coating Thickness Measurement is a high-precision instrument designed to measure coating thickness on a variety of substrates using magnetic induction (F) and eddy current (N) methods. It supports measuring ranges up to 1.5 mm (60 mils) for ferrous surfaces and 0.7 mm (30 mils) for non-ferrous surfaces, with exceptional accuracy of ±(1 µm + 0.75% of reading) and repeatability of ±(0.5 µm + 0.5% of reading). The device accommodates curved surfaces with a minimum convex radius of 1.5 mm and concave radius of 7.5 mm, and requires a minimum substrate thickness of 0.3 mm for ferrous and 40 µm for non-ferrous materials. Its compact, lightweight design (125 mm × Ø16 mm, 48 g) makes it portable for field use, while its digital sensor provides highly accurate, calibrated readings.
The SmarTest features Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, allowing measurement data to be transferred wirelessly to an app with a 10 m maximum range, and also includes a mini-USB port for charging and data transfer. Powered by a LiFePO4 battery, it offers over 8 hours of continuous operation per charge, with internal monitoring to prevent inaccurate readings due to low battery. Measurement data can be stored and exported in CSV format, and the app interface is available in German, English, French, and Chinese. Additional benefits include indestructible probes resistant to wear, individual compensation curves for optimal temperature adjustments, and manufacturer-calibrated curves with up to 50 support points, making it ideal for precise, repeatable, and portable coating thickness analysis in industrial and quality control applications.
