Description
The Met One 094 Solar Radiation Sensor is a robust thermopile pyranometer engineered for precise measurement of solar irradiance in environmental and climate research applications. It features a black-painted sensing plate with a wavelength response from 300 to 2800 nm, providing reliable detection of solar radiation up to 2000 W/m². The sensor delivers high accuracy with an output tolerance of approximately ±3%, low non-linearity (<2%), and minimal zero offset (<5 W/m² for a 5 K/h temperature change). With a response time under 16 seconds to reach 95% of the final reading, it ensures timely and consistent data collection for research-grade measurements.
Designed for outdoor use, the 094 sensor withstands a wide temperature range (−40°C to +60°C) and maintains field accuracy with low azimuth and tilt errors. Its durable aluminum body with a PBT cover is waterproof (IP67), while a 10-meter shielded cable allows flexible installation. Lightweight yet compact (200 g sensor, 700 g with cable), and with a full 180° field of view, this sensor is ideal for deployment in ambient monitoring systems, climate studies, and other solar radiation measurement setups requiring high precision and reliability.
