Description
The S.E. International Radiation Alert GammaView is a high-sensitivity gamma radiation detector designed for precise environmental and compliance monitoring. Equipped with a 1×1 NaI scintillation probe, it can measure dose rates from 1 µR/h up to 5 mR/h (0.001–50 µSv/hr) and detect counts per minute (CPM) up to approximately 875,000. The device covers an energy range of 20 keV to 1.5 MeV and provides typical sensitivity of 150 CPM/µR/hr, with an accuracy of ±10% when calibrated against a ¹³⁷Cs source. Its anti-saturation feature ensures readings remain reliable even in high-radiation fields, and data is presented on a backlit graphic LCD with real-time averaging for accurate monitoring.
Designed for field versatility, the GammaView includes USB and Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer via the Observer software, a red LED count indicator, and an internal beeper for alerts. Powered by two AA batteries, it offers around 500 hours of operation at background levels. Lightweight and portable, the base unit weighs just 193 g, while the probe is 393 g, making it practical for environmental surveys, remote monitoring, health physics, homeland defense, and regulatory compliance applications. The system comes with accessories such as a carrying case, Xtreme boot, stand, lanyard, and calibration certificate, ensuring readiness for professional use.
