Description
The S.E. International Radiation Alert® Ranger EXP is a professional-grade radiation survey meter designed for advanced radiation detection using an external RAP-RS2 Geiger-Müller probe. Equipped with a halogen-quenched GM tube and a thin mica window, the system delivers high sensitivity to alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation across wide measurement ranges including mR/hr, µSv/hr, CPM, CPS, and total counts. Its strong energy response enables detection of low-energy alpha particles down to 2 MeV, beta radiation to 0.16 MeV, and gamma radiation as low as 10 keV, making it suitable for precise monitoring in both low-background and elevated radiation environments.
Designed for flexibility and field reliability, the Ranger EXP features anti-saturation protection, adaptive averaging for stable readings, and configurable visual and audible alarms for radiation safety monitoring. A backlit graphic LCD, red count LED, and internal beeper provide clear real-time feedback, while USB and Bluetooth connectivity support data logging and remote monitoring via free Observer software. Powered by either USB or AA batteries with long operating life, the Ranger EXP is ideal for surface contamination surveys, occupational exposure monitoring, environmental screening, and detection of low-energy radionuclides, offering dependable performance in a rugged, portable configuration.
